The Christmas Cheese

As JB an I were planning a quiet Christmas, I decided to splurge on some lovely cheese when I was at Simon Johnson’s picking up the ham we ordered.   I can very often fall for a “smelly socks” washed rind cheese.  And when they are shipped out from France an arrive here wonderfully ripe and just driving you to distraction, like this Fromager Des Clarines …well I just have to eat it

It was very ripe and even shrink-wrapped and vacuum packed I could smell if when I opened the fridge.  It made my mouth water for the 5 days I waited until we opened it.  It was well worth the $28, well worth!
